Fotoklub Split, Marmontova 5, poziva vas na otvaranje izložbe "Dodirujući tlo", Frances Andrijich, australske fotografkinje podrijetlom iz Blata na korčuli. Svečanost otvaranja održat će se u ponedjeljak, 11. rujna u 20 sati, a izložba će biti otvorena do 1. listopada.

O stvaralaštvu Frances Andrijich:

Ljudi na fotografijama Frances Andrijich su ukorijenjeni na zemlji, ili se oslobađaju od njezinog utjecaja. Taj osjećaj pripadnosti, vlasništva, pravog osjećaja povezanosti, je jedna tipična australska priča. Naravno, domaći starosjedioci imaju drukčije shvaćanje vlasništva. Ipak je to njihova zemlja. Bez obzira na sve svi Australci na različite načine pripadaju toj zemlji, a njihova veza sa zemljom je od životne važnosti.
Ta tema prožima radove Frances Andrijich i ona je ta koja njezine fotografije izdvaja iz hrpe ostalih. Ona priča priču o mnogostrukom i raznolikom smislu australstva, onome koji ne ovisi o rasi, vjeri, etničkoj pripadnosti ili spolu nego o vezi punoj razumijevanja, poštovanja, opreza i povjerenja.

Frances Andrijich is a highly regarded Australian editorial photographer. Contributing to over twenty magazines, including The Weekend Australian Magazine; Time; The Bulletin; The Good Weekend; Australian Geographic; Vogue and Cosmos, she has established a reputation as a consummate professional able to capture the quintessential image. In addition to assignments in Moscow and Indonesia, Frances has travelled throughout
Australia photographing its people, events and landscapes.
Her corporate portfolio includes long standing relationships with the West Coast Eagles, the Western Australian Chamber of Commerce, TV Network Channel 7, The West Australian Symphony Orchestra and St John of God Health Care. She also works closely with predominant Western Australian wineries; Cullen’s, Moss Wood and Leeuwin Estate.
She has won numerous awards for her photography and her seven books, including: "Being Australian", "Margaret River" and "Perth", which have attracted strong market support. She has also held regular exhibitions of her photographs, with a solo exhibition in Split, Croatia this year, and another exhibition at Brisbane’s Powerhouse scheduled to be held in July 2007. Frances maintains a specialized photographic library of her work that is a recognized resource for images of urban and outback Australia. Her pictures have appeared six times in the prestigious Fuji ACMP Photographers Collection. She is also a member of the Sydney based Wildlight Photographic Agency.
